Marriage Based Petition and Adjustment of Status Approved for Indonesian Client in Jacksonville Florida

CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status.

NATIONALITY: Indonesian

LOCATION: Jacksonville, FL

Our client is from Indonesia who came to the U.S. on a J-1 Visa in February 2016.  He came to the U.S. for his internship, but his J-1 program is subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement.  With our office’s legal assistance, our client was able to get his J-1 no-objection waiver in December 2019. In June 2021, our client married his U.S. Citizen wife and retained our office for his green card application in February 2022.

Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 petition and I-485 adjustment of status application on March 21, 2022.  Everything went smoothly and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits all came on time.  However, on February 16, 2023, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE) for our client’s I-693 medical record. On February 27, 2023, our office filed the response to RFE along with his I-693 record. On March 11, 2023, his green card application was approved.
