CASE: I-130 and Consular Processing (Immigrant Visa) – Marriage-Petition
Our client is a U.S. citizen who married his wife in Nepal in September 2022. After the marriage, he came back to the United States for an I-130 and immigrant visa for his wife. He retained our office on October 12, 2022. Our office filed the I-130 for his wife on October 24, 2022. The I-130 petition was approved by the USCIS on September 18, 2023.
Once the I-130 was approved, we filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on November 17, 2023, and they forwarded it to the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal. An interview was then set for the client at the Embassy. On March 27, 2024, the interview was conducted. The same day, the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, sissued her immigrant visa.
With the approved Immigrant Visa, our client’s wife already came to the United States and received her green card.
