CASE: I-130 and Consular Processing (Immigrant Visa)
CLIENT: US Citizen Petitioner Daughter; Ukrainian mother
Our client retained us to bring her mother over from Ukraine. She was born and raised in Ukraine but was naturalized in the United States.
On April 15, 2022, our firm filed the I-130 Petition to the USCIS. On April 10, 2023, the I-130 Petition was approved. We then started the immigrant visa processing phase of getting her mother to the United States.
On December 14, 2023, we filed the immigrant visa packet to the National Visa Center in turn forwarded our client’s materials to the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany. An interview notice was sent for our client’s mother, and we prepared her for her interview. On March 25, 2024, the U.S. Consulate General approved her immigrant visa.
