Immigrant Visa Approval for Filipina Physical Therapist in Manila Philippines and Nursing Care Petitioner in Houston Texas

CASE: Immigrant Visa (Consular Professing)

EMPLOYER: Nursing Care Facility in Houston, TX

BENEFICIARY: Filipina Physical Therapist in Manila, Philippines

Our client is a physical therapist in the Philippines. Her prospective employer was willing to petition her for an I-140 petition. Since she was a physical therapist, she was eligible for “Schedule A” classification. Our client has U.S. equivalent Bachelor’s degrees in Physical Therapy and is a licensed physical therapist in the State of Texas. Our office was retained on February 9, 2021 and filed the Prevailing Wage Determination.

We filed the I-140 application on July 29, 2022 via regular processing. We included the job offer letter, the notice of filing, and other supporting documents. In our cover brief, we included the “ability to pay” argument and why nurse practitioners must fall under the Schedule A designation. On September 8, 2022, the USCIS Texas Service Center approved her EB-3 I-140 petition.

Once her I-140 was approved, our client retained our office again for her immigrant visa processing. Our office filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on December 21, 2022, and they gave the client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. An interview notice was set for the client at the Embassy. On November 8, 2024, our client appeared at her interview. It went well, and the Embassy issued her immigrant visa. With the approved Immigrant Visa, our client can come to the United States immediately, and she will get her greencard within two months of entry.
