Immigrant Visa Approval Based on Marriage, I-130 Petitioner in Cleveland Ohio, Cambodian Beneficiary in Phnom Penh

CASE: I-130 and Consular Processing (Immigrant Visa) – Marriage-Petition

Our client is a U.S. citizen who married his wife in Cambodia in August 2022.  After the marriage, he came back to the United States and retained our office for the I-130 and immigrant visa filing. He retained our office on September 8, 2022. Our office filed the I-130 for his wife on November 7, 2022. The petition was approved by the USCIS on October 10, 2023.

Once the I-130 was approved, we filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on December 21, 2023, and they gave our client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. An interview notice was set for the client, and we prepared her for the interview. On July 1, 2024, the interview was conducted.  The same day of the interview, the U.S. Embassy issued her immigrant visa.

With the approved Immigrant Visa, our client’s wife was able to come to the United States and receive her green card.
