CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States from the Philippines in January 2019 with a J-1 exchange visitor visa. Her J-1 visa program was not subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement. She married a U.S. Citizen in September 2020. She retained our office for her green card application on March 10, 2023. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Application on July 25, 2023. All went well and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment came on time. Before the interview, we prepared our clients via conference calls. On November 29, 2023, our client was interviewed at the Houston, Texas USCIS office. On November 30, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
