CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States in July 2023 from Argentina with a B-2 visitor’s visa. He married a U.S. Citizen in August 2023. He retained our office on August 14, 2023 for his green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on September 18, 2023. Everything went smoothly and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment all came on time. However, on November 27, 2023, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence and asked our client to submit additional bona fide marital documents between him and his wife. Our office filed our client’s response to RFE on December 21, 2023. On January 5, 2024, our client’s green card application was approved.
