Our client came to the United States from Nigeria on an F-1 student visa in 2018. He married a U.S. Citizen in September 2020. He retained our office for his green card application on June 16, 2021. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on March 15, 2022. All went well and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment came on time.
Before the interview, we also prepared our clients via conference calls. On January 30, 2023, our client was interviewed at the Cleveland, OH USCIS office. Attorney JP Sarmiento, Esq. from our office also accompanied our clients. On February 6, 2023, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence and asked our client to submit his bona fide marital evidence with his U.S. citizen wife. Our office filed our client’s response to RFE with numerous bona fide marital evidence on April 27, 2023. A week after the RFE response was filed, the USCIS Investigation Officer visited our client’s marital residence to investigate the authenticity of his marriage. It was. On June 6, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
