CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States from Brazil with her B-2 visitor’s visa in December 2022. She married a U.S. Citizen in March 2023. She retained our office on September 26, 2023, for her green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on March 28, 2024. Everything went smoothly and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment all came on time. However, on November 4, 2024, the USCIS issued Request for Evidence and requested our client to submit additional bona fide marital documents between her and her husband. Our office filed our client’s response to RFE on January 6, 2025. Eventually, on January 28, 2025, our client’s green card application was approved.
