Green Card Based on Approved I-130 for Minor Child Petition for Filipino Client in Goodyear Arizona

CASE: I-130 (Petition for Unmarried child of US Citizen) and I-485

 CLIENT: Filipino

 LOCATION: Goodyear, AZ

Our client retained us to petition for his stepson, who came from the Philippines to visit him and his wife. The stepson entered the United States in September 2022 with a B-2 visitor’s visa. Our client retained our office to file an I-130 Petition for his stepson and an I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status.

On November 14, 2022, our firm filed the I-130 Petition and the I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status. Everything proceeded smoothly, and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment were received promptly. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our clients via conference calls. On January 15, 2025, our client was interviewed at the Phoenix, AZ USCIS office. However, USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE) after the interview, requesting that our client’s stepson submit a new I-693 Immigration Medical Examination. Our office filed the Response to the RFE in February 2025. Eventually, on March 13, 2025, our client’s green card application was approved.”
