Green Card Approval Through Marriage for Taiwanese Client in Sagamore Hills Ohio

Case: I-130/I-485
Applicant/Beneficiary – Taiwanese
Location: Sagamore Hills, OH

Our client entered the United States in August 2023 from Taiwan under the visa waiver program. As a Visa Waiver Entrant, she was only authorized to remain in the United States for 90 days.  She came to the U.S. as a visitor to see her U.S. citizen husband. They married in Taiwan in July 2011.

In August 2023, they contacted our office and consulted with us regarding the adjustment of status. After the consultation, they retained our office. One main issue in her green card application through marriage was the fact that she came to the United States under the visa waiver program.

Our office was able to file the I-130 Petition and I-485 Application on October 26, 2023. Our office requested the USCIS to exercise favorable discretion in granting adjustment of status. All went well and the receipt notices, the fingerprint appointment, and the work permit came on time. On February 22, 2024, the USCIS approved our client’s I-485 application. Now, our client has become a green card holder.
