CASE: I-485 based on Approved I-140 (EB-2)

Our client is an assistant professor from South Korea, and is currently teaching at a state university which was willing to petition him for an I-140 petition. Our client has a Ph.D. and has worked for this school since August 2022. He has maintained his status as an H-1B visa holder in the United States. He had an approved I-140 petition which was filed by his employer and this I-140’s priority date was January 17, 2023.
In May 2024, he contacted our office and retained us for his I-485 application. Our office filed the adjustment of status on July 22, 2024. Everything went well and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment came on time. On October 3, 2024, both him and his wife’s green card applications were approved.
