After Serving Two Year Rule, Immigrant Visa Approval for Filipino High School Physics Teacher in Manila Philippines

CASE: Immigrant Visa / I-140 (EB-3 Category)

EMPLOYER: Public School District in Casa Grande, AZ

BENEFICIARY: Filipino High School Physics Teacher in the Philippines

LOCATION: Manila, Philippines

Our client had a former employer (a public school in Casa Grande, AZ) that was willing to petition him for an I-140.  Our client used to work for this employer as a High School Physics Teacher for several years. With our office’s assistance, our client’s PERM Labor Certification was certified. Later, his employer filed an I-140 petition for our client and it was approved by the USCIS on January 31, 2022. While his I-140 was pending, our client went back to the Philippines and started consular processing for his immigrant visa.

Once we were retained, our office filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on February 5, 2024, and they forwarded the client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. An interview notice was set for the client at the Embassy. On August 15, 2024, our client appeared at the interview. The interview went well, and the Embassy issued his immigrant visa. With the approved Visa, our client can come to the United States, and he will get his green card within two months of entry.
