After Serving Two Year Requirement, Immigrant Visa Approved for Filipina High School Chemistry Teacher in Manila Philippines

CASE: Immigrant Visa / I-140 (EB-3 Category)

EMPLOYER: Public School District in Casa Grande, AZ

BENEFICIARY: Filipina High School Chemistry Teacher in the Philippines

LOCATION: Manila, Philippines

Our client had a former employer (public school district in Casa Grande, AZ) that was willing to petition her for an I-140.  Our client used to work for this employer as a High School Chemistry Teacher for several years. With our assistance, our client’s PERM Labor Certification was certified. Later, her employer filed an I-140 petition for our client and it was approved by the USCIS on April 26, 2022. While her I-140 was pending, our client went back to the Philippines and started consular processing for her immigrant visa.

Once retained, our office filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on March 7, 2024, who in turn gave the client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. An interview notice was set for our client. On August 9, 2024, our client appeared at the U.S. Embassy. The interview went well, and they approved her immigrant visa. With the approved Visa, our client can come to the United States, and she will get her green card within two months of entry.
