After Serving Two Year J1 Requirement, Immigrant Visa on I-140 EB3Approved for Filipina Teacher in Manila Philippines

CASE: Immigrant Visa / I-140 (EB-3 Category)

EMPLOYER: Public School District in Alamo, NM

BENEFICIARY: Filipina Special Education Teacher in the Philippines

LOCATION: Manila, Philippines

Our client had a former employer (a public school district in Alamo, NM) that was willing to petition her for an I-140.  Our client used to work for this employer as a Special Education Teacher. With our assistance, our client’s PERM Labor Certification was certified. Later, her employer filed the I-140  petition and it was approved by the USCIS on June 30, 2022. While her I-140 was pending, our client went back to the Philippines and started consular processing for her immigrant visa.

Once we were retained, we filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on February 22, 2024, and they forwarded our client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines. An interview notice was then set our client at the Embassy. On August 15, 2024, our client showed up for her interview. The interview went well, and the Embassy issued her immigrant visa. With the approved Visa, our client can come to the United States immediately, and she will get her green card within two months of entry.
