Adjustment of Status Green Card Approval Based on K-1 Fiancée Visa for Filipina Client in Parma Ohio

CASE: Adjustment of Status Based on Approved K-1 Visa

CLIENT: Filipina

LOCATION: Parma, OH

Our client arrived in the United States in June 2024 on a K-1 visa from the Philippines. She is the beneficiary of an approved I-129F petition. Upon arrival, she married her U.S. citizen fiancé within 90 days of her entry. According to law, if a K-1 visa entrant marries their petitioner-fiancé within 90 days of entry, they are eligible to apply for adjustment of status (green card) in the United States. She married in August 2024.

Our client initially contacted our office for a consultation regarding her adjustment of status application. After retaining our services, our firm promptly prepared and filed the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on September 12, 2024. The process proceeded smoothly, with receipt notices and the fingerprint appointment scheduled and completed on time. Finally, on March 22, 2025, USCIS approved her I-485 adjustment of status application.
