CASE: I-130 (Petitions for Parent) and Adjustment of Status

Our client retained us to petition her South African mother from South Africa who was in the US. Our client is a naturalized US citizen, and her mother came to the United States in July 2021 with a B-2 visa from South Africa. She contacted our office in October of 2021 and discussed her I-130 petition and her mother’s adjustment of status application. She retained our office on October 29, 2021.
Our firm filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application for on March 31, 2022. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. Before the interview, we prepared our clients via conference calls. On July 12, 2023, our client was interviewed at the Fairfax, VA USCIS office. On July 13, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
