CASE: I-130 (Petition for Parent) and Adjustment of Status

Our client retained us to petition for her mother who came to the U.S. from Jamaica. Our client is a naturalized US citizen, and her mother came to the United States in March 2022 with a H-2B visa from Jamaica. She contacted our office in April of 2022 and discussed with us his I-130 petition and her mother’s adjustment of status application. After consultation, she retained our office on April 6, 2022.
Once retained, our firm filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on May 24, 2022. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. On July 2, 2023, the application was approved.
