CASE: I-485 adjustment of status

Our client came to the United States from Bolivia with a valid B-2 visitor’s visa in November 2018. She remained in the United States for a time longer than permitted. Later, she was placed in removal proceedings and a Notice to Appear was issued. Our client married her U.S. citizen husband in September 2020. Her husband filed an I-130 petition for her on October 19, 2020. In September 2021, this I-130 was approved by the USCIS. Eventually, the Immigration Judge in Miami, FL terminated our client’s removal proceedings in May 2022.
After her removal proceeding was terminated, our client retained us for her I-485 application. Our firm filed the Adjustment of Status on November 30, 2023. On October 24, 2024, her I-485 application was approved. Now, our client has become a green card holder.
