Immigrant Visa Based on I-130 Sibling Petition for Korean Client in Seoul South Korea

CASE: Immigrant Visa / I-130 (F-4 category)

CLIENT: Korean

LOCATION: Seoul, South Korea

Our client contacted us for his family’s immigrant visa processing in December 2019. His US Citizen sister filed an I-130 for him in July 2007 and it was approved by the USCIS. In January 2020, his visa number was available.

Our office was retained on December 26, 2019. We filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on December 21, 2020, and they forwarded the client’s materials to the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. However, his visa number was retrogressed after year 2021.

In May 2024, an interview notice was set for the client at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. On June 12, 2024, our client, his wife, and his son appeared at the Embassy. It went well, and on the same day, South Korea issued his and his family members’ immigrant visas.

Now, our client and his family can come to the United States, and they will get their green cards within two months of entry.
